Ferris Cat Wheel Help your kitty stay fit and enriched! This brand is the most study and is large enough for bengals. Avoid knock-offs, they break.

Litter Box in Box Most of our cats use a 24 in Frisco high sided  box with a stainless seamless litter box inside. The double box system significantly cuts down on litter scatter, and the stainless box is easy to sanitize. For an economy option, try large Van Ness regular box.

IRIS Top Entry Box Another good option to reduce tracking. Available on Amazon and on Chewy.  Suitable for cats 6 months and up who tolerate closed-style boxes.

Pine Pellets

Pine Pellet Litter. Pine pellets scatter less than clay, are more eco-friendly, and cost less. Marketed as “horse bedding” at Tractor Supply / Southern States

Pet Bed

Pet Beds Our cats prefer cat trees, but it’s nice to have bed options. Five Below beds are adequate, and can be replaced inexpensively. All beds become yucky after awhile, so we recommend buying affordable ones.

Toys Our cat’s prefer simple toys such as this Plastic Spring Toy, and the Caterpillar Cat Wand. Both are inexpensive. The best play experience involves you; engage kitty’s hunting instincts!

Raw Food

Homemade Balanced Cat Food Our cats LOVE this raw recipe. It’s nutritious, affordable, and has no fillers. We have and like the Weston 22 meat grinder. PLEASE DO NOT USE PRE-GROUND RAW MEAT FROM THE GROCERY. It is unsafe to feed raw. Supplements are essential to this particular recipe. If you do not have a grinder, please consider Pre-made Raw.

Viva Brand Raw Cat Food

Pre-made Raw Viva offers zero-filler, already balanced raw food. Meat is humanely-raised, ground, and then shipped in ice-cold in one-pound blocks. Use thsi link to save 20% on your first order:  vivarawpets.com/BRILLIANTBENGAL

Other Pre-made Raw Already-balanced options are increasing every year. Frozen options include Darwins, Fegnion, and Primal Frozen Nuggets. We tend to avoid freeze-dried products because they lack essential moisture and our cats simply do not like them. Bengals are athletic cats and may need more food than indicated on the package.

Package of Carnivore Cravings

Shelf-Stable Food A balanced raw diet is recommended. Highly processed foods may lead to gastrointestinal issues. If shelf-stable food is unavoidable, choose “wet” foods that are primarily meat and water. Try to minimize products containing legumes, rice, potatoes, soy, gluten, or protein supplements. Better-than-average foods include Stella and Chewy’s Carnivore Creations  and Koha products.  At Petsmart, Merrick Backcountry and Tiki Cat “After Dark.”

Probiotics Promote happier tummies and immune systems! Our favorite is Jarrow S. Boulardii + MOS. Open and sprinkle 1/3 capsule on food. We also rotate 1/4 tsp organic ground pumpkin seed in food. Both are human grade supplements available at Amazon.

“Grain free” Warning The FDA is investigating many name-brand foods for links to canine heart disease. Many “grain free” and “high protein” foods are biologically inappropriate. Cats are obligate carnivores; they are not suited to eat peas, chickpeas, legumes, plant proteins, or potatoes. Small amounts of plain pumpkin are fine.

Kibble  Kibble = cereal. A long-term all-kibble diet could lead to dehydration and may have implications for the digestive track, liver, and kidneys. We do not recommend long-term use of any kibble brand, including any “prescription” kibble options from the vet.

Cat Trees Bengals adore cat trees; bengals are distant relatives of tree cats, after all. Buy any affordable tree that is not white. For younger kittens, buy a shorter tree or partly-assemble a taller tree (to avoid falls / stressing young joints.)
