Adopter Qualifications: Adopters must demonstrate their ability to afford ownership, to provide a suitable home, and embrace bengal antics. We strongly prefer our kittens live with an animal playmate and that owners feed a meat based diet.
Re-homing fees: Pet fees are determined individually and are most frequently $1,000. We currently do not accept personal checks or credit cards. Fees are designed to curtail impulse adoptions, to ensure adopters can afford pet ownership, and to offset a portion of our actual costs. We operate at a loss; breeding is strictly a family hobby.
Deposits: Approved adopters may reserve a kitten for a nonrefundable $300 fee, which is applied to the re-homing fee.
Shipping/Delivery: We deliver kittens to local adopters free of charge. Non-local adopters may travel to Central Virginia to collect their new family member or arrange to meet us at an East Coast cat show.We do not currently ship kittens.
International Adoptions: We do not have an export license and are unable to adopt out internationally.
Cattery Tours: We do not offer tours. A single flea hitchhiking on a visitor’s pant leg can expose unvaccinated kittens to disease and lets face it, who likes to receive strangers in their house? Prospective adopters are welcome to “see” our facilities via photos or videos and to meet us in person at a cat show. Approved adopters may visit their kitten after placing a deposit.
Breeding Rights: All pet kittens come altered or with a spay/neuter contract and may not be bred under any circumstances. Registration papers are released only after proof of spay/ neuter.
Ongoing support: We are happy to field occasional questions from adopters. However, we have full time jobs and cannot provide ongoing support throughout an animal’s life. Adopters are expected to seek out professional help for pets as required. Adopters desiring extensive support are encouraged to identify a professional or stay-at-home breeder.
